-
- Print CityBW
- =============
-
- This is a a custom printing program that prints using a special 16x16
- Black and White tileset. To run this program simply click on the icon.
- When the program's window appears, click on "Load City". A file requester
- will appear and you can select a SimCity city file for printing.
-
- Once loaded select "Print City" and a requester will appear allowing you
- to select either printing the city as a single page or as a poster. You
- may also select the density output of the printer. If you select "Single
- Page" it is recommended to use a high density setting. Since each tile is
- 16x16 the final page out put will be 1920 dots wide by 1600 lines.
-
- If you select "Poster" you may use a lower density for faster printing.
- Each page requires only 640 dots x 528 lines. This setting outputs 9 pages
- for a large poster. Each page is titled with its respective column and row
- number. To stop printing at any time, click on "Abort". Printing will
- stop as soon as the printer has finished printing the current strip.
-
- To exit the print requester, click on "Cancel". To exit the program
- click on the Window Close gadget in the upper left hand corner. To run
- this program properly, you MUST have the file LargeBW.tiles in your current
- directory. An icon has been provided to make it easy to move this file as
- well as the program file to another disk or to a hard disk.
-
- City2IFF:
- =========
-
- This program will convert a city file to an IFF picture file which may be
- loaded into Deluxe Paint, Deluxe PhotoLab and other graphics programs.
- City2IFF comes with 3 tileset files which must be in the same directory as
- the program in order for the program to work. Your city can be saved in
- any of the 3 different tilesets, however the 16 color and Extra Halfbrite
- will require the 1 meg Fatter Agnus chip be installed on your Amiga for
- many programs to use the file. A special black and white tileset has been
- provided for use if you don't have 1 megabyte of chip memory.
-
- To run City2IFF simply click on the program icon. When the program is
- loaded the default tileset is 16 colors. You may at this time select a
- different tileset or select a city file to convert to IFF.
-
- If you want to load a city just click on "Load City". When the city is
- loaded you may save it as an IFF file by clicking on "Save IFF". Depending
- on which tile set you are using and what device you are saving the file
- too, it may take some time for the program to save your file. City2IFF may
- generate very large files. Sometimes larger than 400,000 bytes. If you
- are saving to floppy disk this may take some time. As soon as the save is
- completed the "Saving IFF..." requester will clear the screen and you will
- be returned to the main program window. You may then select another city
- file, another tileset, or exit the program by clicking on the WindowClose
- gadget.
